Haikus

Haikus

A Haiku is a very short form of Japanese poetry.  It composed of three lines of poetry. which contain seventeen syllables: 5 syllables, 7 syllables, and 5 syllables.  A Haiku typically focuses on the beauty of nature.

Here are a few of mine.

Morning-yawn silence
Dawn stretches like silken thread
The quiet’s all mine

Afternoon hubbub
Scitter scatter chitter chat
Why I teach high school

Evening falls gently
Not too big to snuggle, son
It’s mama time now
